Cantate! currently comprises 17 experienced singers
from around the Detroit metropolitan community,
many of whom have been with the group
since its founding in 1985.
While the ensemble membership has varied
between 13 and 22 singers,
maintaining balance between voice parts
has remained an overriding consideration.
New voices may be added by audition
as occasional vacancies arise, or to enhance balance.

You will be asked to complete an application
for membership, which will be kept on file.
When a vacancy for your voice part occurs,
you will be contacted to audition individually
with Mr. Branstrom, and then
sing with the group for two or three rehearsals
for further evaluation of blend and balance.
