Cynthia Gottlieb, Alto

Cynthia comes from a musical family.  Her father played violin and string bass, her sister, Glynette plays piano and sings, and she sings and has taken some piano lessons.  Cynthia sang at Temple Israel and at Bushnell Congregational Church.  She was also a member of Bel Canto before joining Cantate approximately 10 years ago.  She has sung with many choir directors in the Detroit area as well as in Cleveland, Ohio.  She is thrilled to have her sister, Glynette, singing with her in Cantate! 

When Cynthia is not teaching Spanish, she is usually teaching something else.  She has recently gone back for her Master’s Degree in Education at The University of Michigan with an endorsement in Ed. Technology. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, reading, and visiting the local museums.
